Ottawa Branch OGS publications from GlobalGenealogy.com

Since 1970 the Ottawa Branch of OGS has produced over 200 publications. Speaking to Ottawa Branch Director John Patton on Saturday I learned that these are now being published and distributed by GlobalGenealogy.com. The Branch retains copyright, is relieved of the burden of management of the inventory and fulfillment of orders, and expects to benefit from increased exposure.

The following are Ottawa Branch books now available at: http://globalgenealogy.com/countries/canada/ontario/ogs-ottawa.htm

  • Surviving 1851 Census Returns of Ireland
  • Names of Emigrants, From the 1845-1847 Records of James Allison, Emigrant Agent at Montreal
  • Bell's Corners Union Cemetery [Nepean Township]
  • Birth, Marriage, and Death Notices from The Carp Review & Carleton County Advertiser 1905-1950
  • The Ottawa Citizen Birth Marriage, Anniversary, Death and Memoriam Notices 1879-1885
  • Birth, Marriage, and Death Notices from the Carleton Place Herald, 1850 to 1923
Coming soon will be:
  • Canadian Wesleyan Methodist Baptisms [5 vols]
  • The Merivale Cemeteries
  • Patent Holders: Goulbourn Township and Village of Richmond
  • BMDs from Early Ottawa Newspapers
Expect further titles and, perhaps, other OGS branches to pick up on the opportunity to relieve scarce volunteers for more interesting challenges.
