Speakers wanted in Arnprior

The following is posted for Joanne Kidd and Patrick’s Family History Group in Arnprior

We are looking for speakers with an interest in sharing their genealogical knowledge.  The group, named to honour Patrick Wohler, started up in 2014.  Many of the members have been researching their roots for some time but continue to be interested in learning from others.  While there is naturally some focus on the Ottawa Valley and on Scottish and Irish Ancestry, the group has had presentations on DNA; Loyalist history; the use of resources such as Evernote and Pinterest; and stories of individual family histories.

If you have a brick wall story you might like to share, or an approach to getting more out of some of the resources we may not be using fully, we would love to hear from you.    We meet the fourth Monday evening of each month at the Arnprior Public Library.  For further information you can contact jekidd@magma.ca.
