TNA Podcast: Using the 1939 Register: Recording the UK population before the war

A podcast from this talk given by Audrey Collins at TNA in December is now posted.  For those in the know the mere mention of Audrey's name is enough for you to know this is worth listening too. That's even though there are none of the visuals mentioned; the audio is good quality.
Here the summary
The preparations had been made well in advance. Now Britain was at war, and as the uniformed army prepared to face the enemy, a civilian army was mobilised at home. National Registration Officers, registrars, and 65,000 enumerators set about the huge task of registering every man, woman and child in a single weekend. It all went remarkably smoothly. This is the story of the 1939 Register for England and Wales, how it was taken, and what happened next.

I was able to see the visuals of this presentation in the panel immediately beneath the audio
from clicking on a tab labelled slides...then, needing to click the forward or backup arrows to follow along with the audio
Well worth both listening to & following the slides of the over 1 hour long presentation.
