Friday additions to Findmypast

England, Phillimore Marriage Registers, 1531-1913
PDF images of the original Phillimore marriage register transcripts. On each page you will find the names of the married couple and the marriage date. In some registers, the entries will also include the individuals’ residences and if the couple was married by license, which will be written as ‘lic’ at the end of the entry.

British Army, Indian Volunteer Force Medal Awards 1915-1939 
Transcription records of 15,006 individuals from the Indian Defence Force (IDF) and the Auxiliary Force India (AFI) who were awarded the medals between 1915 and 1939. The IDF and AFI were part-time regiments of European soldiers who could be fully mobilised in wartime. Prior to 1920, the IDF and AFI were known as the Indian Volunteer Force (1857-1917).

With the addition of over 24,000 records there are now over 138,000 records from over 200 parishes in this tombstone transcript collection.
