TheGenealogist and the Norfolk Record Office announce that they have signed an agreement to make Norfolk parish registers and other historical records available online for the first time.
The registers from the Diocese of Norwich include baptisms, marriages, burials and banns of marriage feature the majority of the parishes in Norfolk and some Suffolk parishes in and near Lowestoft that fall into the deanery of Lothingland and also, various parishes from the deanery of Fincham and Feltwell, that part of the Diocese of Ely that covers south-west Norfolk.
On release searchable transcripts will be linked to original images.
Findmypast recently added these same records without transcriptions so it looks like non-exclusive licences are being granted. Can Ancestry be far behind?
