Mapping deprivation in England

Take statistics on income, employment, health and disability, education skills and training, barriers to housing and other services, crime and living environment. Combine together with skilled and innovative mapping. The result is Geodemographics of Housing in Great Britain England: new visualisation in the style of Charles Booth's map.The darker red indicates the most deprived, the dark green the least. The data is nominally for 2010.

While details, and there is considerable detail as you zoom in, won't be applicable for your ancestors in 1910 or 1810 general trends are likely persistent, as will be apparent to those familiar with London from this close-up.
