Benchmarks update


Here are some benchmarks as of 1 February 2012.

Familysearch.org has 1,033 record collections, up from 1,008 a month ago: census & lists (88); birth, marriage, & death (679); probate & court (71); military (83); migration & naturalization (45); other (67). It has Alexa rank 5,965, up from a month also 6,218.

Family Tree DNA has 357,675 (355,935) records in its database. It ranks 47,043 (51,424) on Alexa.

Britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk claims 3,627,347 (3,276,840) pages digitized, which is 11,307 per day and well over the 8,000 target. Alexa rank 81,345 (97,044)

Cyndislist.com claims 309,487 (309,467) total links in 187 categories, with 5,948 uncategorized.  Alexa rank 104,018 (98,926).

FreeBMD has 211,673,964 (210,487,942) distinct records, Alexa rank 102,198 (110,903).

UKBMD provides 2,187 (2,207) links to web sites that offer on-line transcriptions of UK births, marriages, deaths and censuses. Alexa rank 352,585 (375,712).

CanadianHeadstones.com has over 356,000 (336,000) gravestone photo records from across Canada. It scores 1,518,881 (1,465,925) in Alexa traffic rank.

The Canadian Gravemarker Gallery was last updated on 1 January 2012 and has 1,100 completely photographed cemeteries and over 500,000 photographs from across Canada. Alexa rank is 1,827,378 (1,956,006).
